Hunter Roop is a Senior Fisheries Biologist at the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Resources Division since August 2018, specializing in the management of various sportfish species in regional waterways. Prior to this, Hunter served as Director of Operations at Classic City Marinas from December 2016 to August 2018, overseeing multiple marina facilities and operational functions. Hunter also held the position of General Operations Manager and Operations Manager within Classic City Marinas and Clarks Hill Marina, respectively, focusing on enhancing productivity and efficiency. Earlier experience includes a role as a Graduate Student at the U.S. Geological Survey involving angler surveys, and a Lift Tech position at Athens Regional Medical Center assisting nursing staff. Hunter's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Forest Resources/Fisheries Management and a B.S. in Forestry and Natural Resources from the University of Georgia, alongside an Associate of Science in Marine Sciences from Coastal Carolina University.
