Bernie Joy, CPM, CPSM, currently serves as Category Manager at the Georgia Department of Administrative Services, focusing on establishing contracts in Public Safety Communications, Enterprise Infrastructure, and Personal Computing. Previously, Bernie held roles including Deputy Director at the Department of Human Services and Associate Category Manager in IT Sourcing at the State of Georgia, where responsibilities included strategic contract development and vendor management. Bernie also has extensive experience in procurement and purchasing within educational and healthcare environments, previously negotiating significant contracts at Emory University. Additional experience includes roles in sales and technical consulting, as well as pastoral leadership in various churches. Bernie holds a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and multiple degrees in Religion from Mercer University, along with several professional certifications in purchasing and supply management.
