Tonya Howe

Instructional Designer And Technologist at George Mason University

Tonya Howe is currently an Instructional Designer and Technologist at George Mason University since May 2023. With a longstanding tenure at Marymount University that began in 2006, Tonya has held various influential roles including Chair of the Department of Literature & Languages, where strategic leadership and operational management were provided. As a Professor, Tonya designs and implements over six courses annually in college-level writing and research across multiple delivery models, and previously served as Graduate Program Director and Associate Professor. Additionally, Tonya contributed as Section Editor for ABO: An Interactive Journal for Women in the Arts and as Web and Publications Editor for the Virginia Humanities Conference. Educational achievements include a Master's in Data Analytics and Visualization from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a Ph.D. in Literature and Language from the University of Michigan.
