Claudeilton de Santana is a DAAD PhD student at GEOMAR Helmholtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung Kiel since October 2022, focusing on research related to the Amazon River Plume. Prior roles include a guest researcher at Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research and pesquisa em análise ambiental at Fundação EspÃrito-Santense de Tecnologia, where analysis of marine zooplankton, particularly Decapoda larvae, was conducted. Claudeilton also has laboratory technician experience at Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, contributing to studies in marine zooplankton ecology as part of a MSc research program on the Amazon River's ecological dynamics. Additional volunteer experience includes turtle monitoring and rehabilitation activities in Ipojuca, Brazil. Claudeilton holds a Master's degree in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco.
