Jhon Andres Macas Gaona is an experienced professional in the field of civil engineering with a focus on innovation and sustainable solutions. Currently serving as an Asesor de Proyectos Comerciales at Geocycle, part of Holcim Ecuador, since November 2022, Jhon specializes in the management of industrial, agricultural, and municipal waste. Prior to this role, Jhon worked at Holcim Ecuador from February 2017 to November 2022 as a Técnico de Innovación y Desarrollo in the Centro de Innovación Holcim, where responsibilities included research and development of innovative concrete and cement solutions. Jhon also gained valuable experience as a technical intern, performing various quality control tests on concrete and cement. Jhon holds a Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Construction and Sanitation from Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad de Guayaquil.
