Nicola Gerrett is an experienced professional in the field of thermophysiology and environmental physiology, currently serving as the Director of Thermophysiology Research at Gentherm since March 2021. Prior to this role, Nicola worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from October 2018 to March 2021 and as a JSPS Overseas Research Fellow at Kobe University, Japan, from July 2015 to March 2021, focusing on the regulation and adaptation of ion reabsorption in eccrine sweat glands. Earlier positions include a Lectureship in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Worcester from September 2012 to August 2016, and a Research Assistant position at Loughborough University, where support was provided on a EU-funded project while completing a PhD in Environmental Physiology and Ergonomics. Nicola holds a PhD from Loughborough University, an MSc from Sheffield Hallam University, and a BSc from Sheffield Hallam University.
