Katarzyna Polak

Study Director at Genoskin

Katarzyna Polak is a highly experienced researcher currently serving as a Study Director at GENOSKIN since March 2023. Prior to this role, Katarzyna worked as a Chargé de Projet en Immuno-Oncologie at Ciloa SAS from March 2020 to March 2023 and held a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at the Institute of Human Genetics in Montpellier from July 2016 to March 2020, focusing on pancreatic cancer and chemotherapy resistance. Katarzyna also contributed as a PhD student at the Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology (IGBMC) from 2011 to 2015, managing research on transcriptional regulation of hematopoiesis, and was a Marie-Curie ITN fellow at HEM_ID during the same period, promoting collaboration on epigenetic regulation in hematopoiesis. Early research experience includes work as an MSc student at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry in Poznan, where Katarzyna characterized shRNA reagents for Huntington’s disease. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Strasbourg, along with advanced training in animal handling and rodent surgery.
