Pablo Santiago is an experienced fermentation engineer currently serving as Fermentation Engineer II at Geno since January 2022. Previously, Pablo held the position of Associate Scientist USP/DSP at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson from February 2020 to January 2022, focusing on the qualification of reduced-scale models for biotherapeutics production. Pablo has extensive experience as a Bioprocess Development Engineer at Phytowelt GreenTechnologies GmbH, where responsibilities included developing fermentation processes for terpenes, executing strain selection, and leading technology transfer for large-scale production. Educational qualifications include an Engineering Doctorate in Bioprocess Engineering from Delft University of Technology, a Master of Science in Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering from Hamburg University of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnological Engineering from Instituto Politécnico Nacional, supplemented by an exchange program in Bioengineering at Université catholique de Louvain.
