Sarah Christensen

Research Associate II at GenMark Diagnostics

Sarah Christensen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sarah started their career as a Lifeguard at Peninsula Family YMCA in 2017 and later worked as a Lifeguard and Assistant Supervisor at Lincoln Military Housing from 2015 to 2020. In 2018, they served as a Microbiology Laboratory Teachers Assistant at Point Loma Nazarene University Biology Department, where they assisted students with lab procedures and ensured safety protocols were followed.

Starting in 2019, Sarah worked as an Emergency Medical Technician at American Medical Response, where they responded to medical emergencies, provided care to patients, and documented transport details. In 2020, they joined Premier Aquatic Services LLC. as a Lifeguard, ensuring the safety of patrons and enforcing pool rules.

Sarah also has experience in the field of biotechnology. Sarah worked as a Process Development Assistant at Inhibrx, Inc. in 2020, assisting with lab support activities and following Standard Operating Procedures. At NeoGenomics Laboratories, they worked as a Laboratory Technician, performing RNA extraction and PCR testing for COVID-19 analysis.

In 2021, Sarah joined Cue Health as a Research Technician, specializing in assay development. Sarah later held the position of Senior Research Technician before transitioning to their current role as a Research Associate I at GenMark Diagnostics, starting in May 2023.

Throughout their various roles, Sarah has demonstrated strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in team environments.

Sarah Christensen attended Point Loma Nazarene University from 2015 to 2019 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Health Science. In 2018, they participated in a Study Abroad program at Florence University of the Arts in Florence, Italy. Sarah received additional certifications including Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) from the American Heart Association in September 2019 and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians in August 2019.
