Devon McGowan is an experienced underwriter currently working at Gen Re in the casualty facultative reinsurance sector since September 2024. Prior to this role, Devon served at Upland Capital Group from May 2021 to September 2024, holding various positions including Underwriter for Excess Casualty and Excess Transportation, as well as Associate Underwriter. Devon's career in the insurance industry began at Optimum Life Reinsurance as a Reinsurance Operations Analyst in early 2021, followed by a role as a Claims Associate at Chubb from December 2018 to January 2021. Further experience includes a position as a Treaty Reinsurance Intern at Guy Carpenter during the summer of 2017. Devon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Chicago, completed in 2018.
