Lara Drake has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Lara currently holds the position of Head of Management Accounting at the General Medical Council since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at The Manchester Metropolitan University, where they served as a Finance Business Partner from June 2019 to January 2023 and as a Financial Accountant from March 2015 to June 2019. Before joining the university, Lara worked as a Management Accountant at webuyanycar.com from November 2013 to March 2015. Lara started their professional career at PwC, where they worked as a Senior Associate Auditor from September 2009 to November 2013.

Lara Drake obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Manchester, where they studied from 2005 to 2008. In September 2012, they obtained the ACA certification from the INSTITUTE OF CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS IN ENGLAND AND WALES.
