Joshua Proulx is an accomplished data engineer and consultant with extensive experience in artificial intelligence, data science, and healthcare technology. Currently, Joshua serves as the Principal AI Data Engineer at Geneial, focusing on advancing precision and genomic medicine. Concurrently, Joshua holds a consultant position at Vizient, Inc. and invests in Epoch Descent, which supplies AI hardware for generative AI platforms. Joshua has previously worked as Chief Data Scientist and Chief Technology Officer at Safe & Reliable Healthcare, where significant contributions included developing predictive analytics and enhancing patient safety through risk measurement and visualization. Additional roles include teaching as an Adjunct Faculty member at Brigham Young University, and holding technical positions at Tute Genomics, Teqqa, Spritz Technology, Inc., and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Joshua earned a Master’s degree in Information and Data Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Bioinformatics and Premed from Brigham Young University.
