Lane DeCoster has extensive experience in the insurance industry, specifically in underwriting roles within General Star and Genesis, subsidiaries of Gen Re and members of the Berkshire Hathaway family of companies. Since April 1987, Lane has held various positions, advancing from the Broker Markets Unit at Gen Re to the Chief Underwriting Officer role, providing leadership in Corporate Underwriting since 2008. Previous positions include Vice President of Professional Liability and Casualty Underwriting, and roles focused on Treaty Underwriting and Casualty Program Marketing. Lane's educational background includes studies at the University of Vermont.
