Thomas Schneider is a Senior Optical Engineer at NSF's NOIRLab since November 2023, bringing significant experience from Gemini Observatory, where work has spanned roles as an Optical Engineer, Junior Optical Engineer, and Laser Operator since June 2010. Prior to the Gemini Observatory, Thomas served as a Field Technician at the Pacific International Space Center for Exploration Systems from September 2009 to March 2010. Thomas Schneider holds a Master of Science degree in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona, attained between 2011 and 2014, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Astronomy from the University of Hawai‘i System, completed in 2009.
