Bas Slutter is an experienced safety and security professional with a diverse background in project management and policy advising. Currently serving as Project Leader for Safety at Gemeente Zandvoort for the Dutch Grand Prix since November 2022, responsibilities include overseeing the permitting and preparation processes and leading safety collaboration meetings for the event. As Safety Manager for Gemeente Haarlem since June 2019, Bas manages multiple processes related to safety regions, events, demonstrations, and public health. Previous roles include Trainer for population care teams, Policy Advisor on public order and crisis management at Gemeente Oegstgeest, and Exam Coordinator for enforcement officers. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Public Administration from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Bachelor in Public Management from The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
