Mario Brinkman has extensive experience in civil engineering and public works, currently serving as a Policy Advisor for water and underground infrastructure at Gemeente Westerkwartier since January 2019, following the municipal reorganization. Additionally, Mario serves as an Advisor for water chain collaboration at Waterketen Groningen - Noord Drenthe since July 2023, and has been an active board member of Vereniging Stadswerk Nederland in the Northern region since January 2020. Mario has a long history with Waterketen Groningen - Drenthe as a cluster coordinator since November 2014, representing multiple municipalities in wastewater governance. Previous roles include Coordinator of Public Works at Gemeente Zuidhorn and Technical Policy Officer at Gemeente Grootegast, among others, with responsibilities encompassing civil engineering, project management, and policy development in water and waste management. Mario Brinkman holds an engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Hanze University, completed between 1995 and 1999.
