Marco Bouwman is a seasoned architect and urban planner with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as a stedenbouwkundige at Gemeente Veere since August 2019, Marco previously established Bouwman Architectuur Studio, an architecture firm specializing in urban design, architecture, and interior design, where Marco held the position of architect and owner from January 2012 to January 2020. Additionally, Marco contributed to renewable energy projects as a projectmanager for wind and solar energy at Coöperatie Zeeuwind from January 2013 to March 2019. Marco's architectural career also includes roles at VG architecten, WTS architecten, Rothuizen van Doorn 't Hooft, and atelier PRO architekten BV, spanning from 1997 to 2011. Marco's educational background includes degrees in architecture from Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten and Hanze, complemented by foundational studies at MTS Sneek and Bogerman college.
