Jan David Waasdorp has extensive work experience in the field of information security and management. Jan David is currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at Gemeente Neder-Betuwe since May 2021. Prior to this, they held the same role at Bedrijfsvoeringseenheid Bommelerwaard (BVEB) from April 2020.

Jan has also worked at EquiVario Information Management Solutions B.V. as a Bestuurder & Senior Consultant starting from April 2019. Before that, they were the Manager Blue Service IAM & Security Operations Center at Nationale-Nederlanden from April 2018 to December 2020.

Jan has a history with Delta Lloyd, where they served as the Teamleider Security Operations Center & IAM from January 2018 to April 2019. Jan David also held various roles within Delta Lloyd, including Teamleider Informatie management, Risk & Security from March 2014 to January 2017, and Teamleider CIO office Functioneel Beheer, Risk & Security en Projectbureau from 2010 to March 2014. Prior to that, they were the Teamleider CTO office Functioneel beheer & Telematica from November 2007 to 2010.

Jan David'searlier experience includes roles at Delta Lloyd Zorg as the Teamleider Functioneel beheer & Testcoördinatie from January 2001 to November 2007. Jan David also worked at Nuts Verzekeringen / NUTS - OHRA as the Teamleider Informatie Centrum from January 1998 to January 2002. Jan started their career at Nuts zorgverzekeringen, where they served as a Projectleider / Projectsecretaris from January 1996 to December 1997 and as a Groepsleider from January 1992 to December 1995.

Jan David Waasdorp attended Leiden University from 1986 to 1990. During this time, they pursued a program in Basisdoctoraal Nederlands Recht but did not complete it. Jan David did, however, obtain a Propedeuse degree in Rechten.
