Bakir Abu Shama is an experienced construction professional currently serving as Project Leader for the Earthquake Project "de Baas" at Gemeente Eemsdelta since September 2023. In addition, Bakir has been a Build Coach at Woning van NU since May 2017, an organization founded to streamline new construction processes. As a Project Manager since August 2012 at EKSOM, Bakir collaborates with specialists on architectural design, advice, structures, earthquake safety, permits, and sustainability. Prior experience includes serving as a Supervisor and Enforcer for the Municipality of Grootegast from March 2007 to July 2008, ensuring compliance with building regulations. Bakir holds a Bachelor of Built Environment from Hanze and a Middle Management Degree in Construction from Noorderpoort as well as a Master's degree in Structural Engineering focused on buildings.
