Joos de Bakker is an experienced project manager and environmental strategist with a diverse background in nature development, urban planning, and community engagement. Currently serving as Project Manager for Nature Development at gemeente Castricum, Joos focuses on developing new nature and improving water systems in former excavations. Concurrently, Joos holds roles as Process Manager for Wind Amsterdam and Chair of the commission for Park Vliegbasis Soesterberg and Paltz, overseeing sustainable energy initiatives and managing volunteer efforts in ecologically significant areas, respectively. With previous experience in strategic planning, environmental assessments, and project leadership across various organizations, including the Province of Utrecht and TenneT, Joos combines extensive expertise in urban development and a commitment to sustainability, evidenced by roles in advising on energy-efficient building regulations and biodiversity projects. Joos is academically grounded with a degree in Public Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
