Head Of UX Research & Design at Gelato

Annabel D. has extensive experience in the field of UX design and research. Annabel began their career as a Shell Step Intern at Carpe Diem Travel Limited in 2006. Annabel then worked as a UX Designer at Kabbee from 2009 to 2010. Annabel joined Deutsche Bank as a Communications Consultant in 2010 and later served as a User Experience Designer at Direct Line Group from 2011 to 2012. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a User Experience Consultant at iRise. Annabel then took on the role of Senior UX and Business Analyst at BJSS from 2015 to 2018, where they successfully optimized CRM and deal entry solutions for clients like BP. In 2018, they joined OVO Energy as a Senior UX Designer and achieved significant improvements in customer ratings for their app. Currently, Annabel holds the position of Head of UX Research & Design at Gelato, where they have implemented a global experience strategy and established an in-house UX and research team. Annabel has also led the design strategy for Gelato's B2B brand and network operations.

Annabel D. obtained a Bachelor's Degree (Hons) in Geography from UCL in 2008. Annabel also completed their A-Levels at Headington School in 2005 and their IGCSE's at Grange School in 2003. In 2011, Annabel received a Postgraduate Certificate in International Business from the University of London. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a UX Management Certification from Nielsen Norman Group in 2021, and they have certifications in Business Analysis Practice, Consulting Practice, Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis, and UX Design Accelerated from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT and General Assembly respectively.
