Diogo Brandão has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as a Robotics Engineer at Gearbox since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at ATG Europe as a Robotics Software System Engineer for the European Space Agency (ESA) from October 2022 to June 2023. Before joining ATG Europe, Diogo served as an Orbital and Planetary Robotics Trainee at the European Space Agency from October 2020 to October 2022. During their time at ESA, they contributed to various projects related to the development of a Robotic Arm and Gripper for the Martian Rover Testbed for Autonomy (MaRTA) and developed a Robotics course covering programming topics for a mockup rover. Diogo also gained practical experience as a Robotics and Systems Engineer intern at SIER Group's subcompany, EnginisSquare, from October 2018 to August 2019, focusing on R&D in Computer 3D Vision and Robotics and prototype development. Prior to their career in robotics, they briefly worked as a Promoter and Seller at FNAC Portugal in December 2015.

Diogo Brandão completed their education history at the following institutions:

1. From 2014 to 2019, Diogo Brandão attended the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, where they obtained a Mestrado em Engenharia (Master's degree) in Engenharia Eletrotécnica e de Computadores (Electrical and Computer Engineering).

2. In 2018, Diogo Brandão also studied at the Technical University of Munich, where they earned a Master of Engineering - MEng degree in Engenharia Elétrica e Eletrônica (Electrical and Electronics Engineering). This program was completed within the same year.
