Karan Sagar is a highly experienced professional in the field of health systems and immunisation strengthening, currently serving as the Head of Comprehensive Vaccine Management at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance since February 2014. Karan's role involves enhancing immunisation coverage and equity across primary health care systems, managing grant operations, and facilitating collaboration among various stakeholders. Previous positions include Senior Country Manager at Gavi, Managing Director at John Snow, Inc. (JSI), and various roles at the World Health Organization, contributing to immunisation initiatives in India and Myanmar. Karan holds an M.D. in Preventive and Social Medicine from Lady Hardinge Medical College and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Maulana Azad Medical College.
