Norm Murray

Norman Murray, an investor in Garwood Medical, is a retired businessman, currently giving leadership and support to numerous charitable and veteran organizations. An interpreter-interrogator for the U.S. Army in Viet Nam, he attended New Mexico State University, receiving degrees in History and Data Processing.

As owner and CEO of U-C Coatings Corporation in Buffalo, NY, he built the company from a two man operation to a 25 employee company, serving the wood products industries throughout North America and dozens of countries overseas. During his four decades with the company, Norm became conversant in nearly a dozen languages to aid the international sales efforts.

Norm is a former President of the Hardwood Forest Foundation and, along with his wife Thuy, has been recognized as “Outstanding Philanthropic Business of the Year”, been the Salvation Army’s “Corporate Citizen of the Year” and received the “Clara Barton Award” from the Red Cross, the highest volunteer honor. They operated their family business, and now their lives in retirement, so as to give a helping hand to those in need and to support culture and promote education for the community at large. Investing in Garwood Medical is part of their plan to help prevent suffering and crippling expenses by controlling infections and providing improved wound care – “doing well by doing good”.
