Marissa Alaniz, MA is a seasoned professional in resource development and fundraising, currently serving as the Director of Development at Garrett's Space since January 2025. Prior experience includes the role of Senior Director of Resource Development at United Way of Greater Toledo, where Marissa led a team in various fundraising initiatives and developed strategies to enhance revenue streams. Marissa's background also encompasses significant roles at AMOS Health & Hope, where strategies for major gifts and legacy giving were established, and Food Gatherers, where Marissa focused on annual giving and grant development. In addition to a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Sociology from the University of Michigan, Marissa holds multiple credentials from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, including a Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies.
