Shawn M. Stephenson is a highly experienced mechanical engineer and technical leader currently serving as Technical Lead - Mechanical Engineer at Garmin since April 2024. Prior to this role, Shawn held significant positions including Wearable Device Architect and Senior Mechanical Engineer at Valencell from March 2013 to March 2024, and Senior Engineer roles at HTC and Cree LLC. Shawn's extensive experience in mechanical engineering began at Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, where multiple senior engineering positions were held from 2005 to 2011. Additionally, Shawn represented the United States as a National Team Athlete for USRowing from 2003 to 2005, achieving notable accolades in several international rowing competitions. Shawn earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University from 1990 to 1994.
