Laura Hester is an experienced educator currently serving as a Third Grade Teacher at Garland Independent School District since August 2022. Previously, Laura Hester taught Fifth Grade at Forney ISD- Smith Intermediate from August 2019 to July 2022, expressing a passion for working with children. Prior to transitioning into education, Laura Hester worked in procurement, holding the position of Buyer at Watson & Chalin Manufacturing from April 2018 to April 2019, and Senior Purchasing Agent at Trinity Industries, Inc. from September 2011 to April 2018, where responsibilities included sourcing raw materials, supplier negotiation, and order management. Laura Hester earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and Communications from Lamar University between 2016 and 2018, having previously attended Stephen F. Austin State University from 1991 to 1993.
