Barry Austin is a seasoned professional in cost management and quantity surveying, currently serving as the Director of Cost Management at Gardiner & Theobald Inc. since September 2023. Prior to this role, Barry held the position of Commercial Manager at Linesight, where responsibilities included leading data center projects from May 2022 to September 2023. Barry also served as Estimating Manager (National) at Duratec Australia from June 2017 to May 2022, overseeing the national pre-construction function. Earlier in Barry's career, roles included Branch Operations Manager and Professional Quantity Surveyor at LDM from April 2009 to October 2016, combining expertise in quantity surveying with project management. Barry holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours degree in Quantity Surveying from Nelson Mandela University, completed between 2005 and 2008.
