Alexandru Ruff is an experienced professional in civil engineering design, economic consulting, and technology start-up acceleration. As a Partner at GapMinder Venture Partners since December 2017, Alexandru contributes to venture capital efforts. Prior to this, Alexandru co-founded ICEDE Consultancy S.R.L. in 2005, focusing on civil engineering and 3D printing, and RICAP, an innovation program for tech start-ups, from 2013 to 2017. Alexandru served as General Manager and Corporate Manager at GEA Strategy & Consulting, delivering strategic services to various entities. Prior roles included Program Advisor for the Academy for Educational Development and Project Coordinator at the University of Maryland College Park. Alexandru began a career in software development and data analysis at Mercury Research. Academically, Alexandru holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cybernetics from Academia de Studii Economice din București and additional studies at Scoala Nationala de Studii Politice si Administrative.
