Nicolas Loy Rodas is an accomplished professional in the field of robotics and computer vision, currently serving as the Robotics & Integration Team Lead and Research Scientist at Ganymed Robotics since November 2018. With prior experience as a Software Engineer at GE Healthcare and a Research Engineer at the Institute of Image-Guided Surgery, Nicolas has developed a strong expertise in medical robotics, focusing on radiation awareness systems and 3D environment perception in surgical settings. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Medical Robotics from the University of Strasbourg, with a thesis addressing context-aware radiation protection in hybrid operating rooms, alongside two Master's degrees in related fields from Télécom Physique Strasbourg and INSA Strasbourg, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Universidad Anáhuac Mayab.
