Michael Bales

VP of Client Services at Gander Group

Michael Bales has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Starting in 1994, they worked at Cascade Orthopedic Supply as a GM in training. From 1997 to 2004, they served as the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at Harrahs Louisiana Downs. In 2005, they joined SMG as the Director of Food & Beverage. In 2008, they worked as the General Manager at McAlister's Deli (Corporation), where they successfully turned around a failing franchise. Michael also served as the Clubhouse Manager at Palmetto Country Club from 2008 to 2010. From 2011 to 2015, they held various managerial roles at Boomtown Casino, including Food & Beverage Manager and Hospitality Manager. In 2015, they became the General Manager of Country Tavern Barbecue, where they turned around a failing restaurant. Since 2016, they have been with Gander Group, initially as a Strategic Marketing Executive and currently as the VP of Client Services, where they work on re-branding and revolutionizing product development in the casino industry. Additionally, from 1985 to 2013, they owned and operated Bales Lawn and Landscape. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Michael Bales attended Louisiana Tech University, however, no specific information regarding their degree, field of study, or years of attendance was provided. In addition to their university education, they obtained a certification in ServSafe from the National Restaurant Association in September 2013.
