Marco Ferraz possesses extensive experience in the fields of geoscience and innovation, currently serving as the Head of Upstream and Industrial Innovation Center at Galp since September 2012. Ferraz has also held roles such as Head of Production & Operations Innovation Center and Head of Upstream Innovation Center (ISPG) at Galp. In addition to corporate responsibilities, Ferraz contributes to academia as an Invited Professor at ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management, teaching on Evaluation and Management of R&I Projects. Previously, Ferraz held leadership positions including Chairman of the Board at CoLAB NET4CO2 and Executive Director at Instituto do Petróleo e Gás. With a PhD from the University of Sydney and an MBA from The Lisbon MBA Católica | Nova, Ferraz has a strong educational foundation alongside research experience at U.S. Geological Survey and LNEG.
