Luis Iglesias is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, specializing in ophthalmology and healthcare management. Currently serving as Chairman at OphtiMed Rx since January 2024, Luis previously held significant roles at Santen Pharmaceutical, where responsibilities included President and Head of North America, Europe, Middle East, and Africa, and CEO for EMEA from September 2017 to April 2024. Prior to Santen, Luis occupied senior leadership positions at AbbVie as SVP & President of West Europe and Vice President Ophthalmology Europe, among others. Luis also led divisions at BD, Covidien, Abbott, and Schering-Plough, achieving substantial P&L responsibilities and driving growth in various markets. Luis holds a BA in Business Studies and an MA in Economics from Universidad de Murcia, along with a Finance for Non-Finance Directors program from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
