Michael Shires has extensive work experience in various leadership roles across multiple industries. Michael currently serves as the Chief Program Officer at Galderma. Prior to this, they held positions in organizations such as Kendall Square Association and the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.
At Takeda, Shires was the Head of Strategy for Plasma Derived Therapies, where they developed and coordinated the global strategy for this business unit. Michael actively monitored and drove strategy implementation, led the Plasma Strategy team, and oversaw critical elements of the business plan.
Before joining Takeda, Shires worked at Shire where they served as the SVP and Head of Corporate Services. Michael optimized the service operations in various areas and led an efficiency and cost-reduction program.
Shires also held leadership roles at Baxalta, Baxter BioScience, 3Com, Motorola Mobility, and Lockheed Martin. Their responsibilities included portfolio management, program execution, organizational change, and contract development and administration.

Michael Shires has a Bachelor's degree from Messiah College / Temple University. Michael has also completed a program in Leading Product Development at Harvard Business School and a Development Program for Pharmaceutical & Biotech Executives at The Wharton School.
