Lead Engineer at Gala Games

Alex Gillette has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. In March 2022, they joined Gala Games as a Lead Engineer. From 2020 to 2022, they worked at Marathon TS as a Senior Software Engineer at NGA, where they led strategy and development execution for MVP capability, guided and mentored the development team, and made technology choices.

Before that, they worked at Daugherty Business Solutions from 2016 to 2020. At Daugherty, they held multiple roles including Principal Consultant Application Architect, Senior Consultant Software Engineer III, and Senior Consultant Software Engineer II. In these roles, they provided guidance to the development team, led associate training programs, and was responsible for the architecture and delivery of software engineering initiatives.

From 2015 to 2016, Alex was the Manager of Application Development at CSRA Inc, where they led a high-performing Agile development team, mentored junior engineers and testers, and optimized the team's throughput using lean strategies. Alex also briefly worked as a Professional Application Designer at CSRA Inc during this time.

In 2012, Alex started their career at CTS America Inc as a Junior Software Engineer, where they designed, coded, and tested solutions using object-oriented programming and Agile practices. Alex also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at CTS America Inc.

Before entering the industry, Alex gained experience at the University of West Florida, where they worked as a Computer Science Tutor and Java Programming Teachers Assistant from 2011 to 2013.

Alex Gillette received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of West Florida in 2013. Following this, Alex pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering from the same university, completing it in 2016. In addition to formal education, Alex obtained certifications from Amazon Web Services, including AWS Certified Developer - Associate in January 2019 and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate in June 2018. Alex also earned a Technical Leadership Certificate from the WashU Technology & Leadership Center.
