Andres Villareal is currently serving as the Chief Legal Officer at Gain since September 2023, bringing extensive experience in compliance and legal matters from previous roles. At MoneyGram International, from April 2015 to August 2023, Villareal held the position of Chief Compliance Officer, overseeing a global team of over 400 compliance professionals. Additional experience includes leadership roles at Citi, where responsibilities encompassed the development of compliance programs across various sectors, including global compliance strategy, regulatory risk management, and legal advisory. Earlier career roles featured positions as attorney and managing partner in private law practices, with a strong focus on bankruptcy, litigation, and corporate law. Villareal holds a J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan.
