Jessica Mercer has a diverse work history, starting in 2007 as a Hair Stylist Assistant at The Beauty Lounge. Jessica then founded LumieresLive Blog in 2010 and worked there until 2011. In 2012, they worked as a Vitamin Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market. From 2013 onwards, they had multiple roles, including Field Sales Representative at Carlson Labs, Mad Hippie, and Gaia Herbs. Jessica also worked as a Broker/Independent Contractor at True Source Brokers. In 2013, they were an Instructor at Zumba. In 2019, they became a Small Business Owner of Hozho Honey Farm, selling local honey and organic produce.

Jessica Mercer attended Pasadena City College from 2007 to 2010. Jessica did not receive a degree or study in a specific field during their time there. In 2014, they enrolled at Trinity School of Natural Health, where they are still studying for a Doctor of Naturopathy degree. Additionally, Jessica has also attended The Healing Arts Institute, specializing in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, although the exact dates of this education are unknown.
