Amir Lorch has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

Amir's most recent position is as the Head of Giraffe Data LAB by G-STAT at Giraffe Data Lab by G-stat DS Solutions Israel, starting from January 2023.

Before that, Amir worked as a Data Scientist at G-STAT starting from April 2022. In this role, they were responsible for statistical and data mining algorithm development, designing and implementing data-driven systems and modules for decision-making, and communicating data-driven insights to peers and managers.

Prior to their work at G-STAT, Amir was a research student and an Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Tutor at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. As a research student, they focused on using ML and advanced HCI to help people sustain a healthy lifestyle. Amir designed and created an interactive augmented mirror to test behavior change, utilizing computer vision and ML techniques. As a tutor, they taught Python and intro to Artificial Intelligence to university students, covering various Python packages and fundamental math and algorithms of ML and AI.

Amir also has experience as a Development Intern at Simploud, where they participated in the design and implementation of a cloud-based quality management system. Amir worked on web and Python development, created investor presentations, and contributed to customer retention efforts.

Additionally, Amir served in the Israel Defense Forces as a Combat First Sergeant from July 2011 to July 2014. Amir commanded over 140 soldiers in their posts around Israel and successfully petitioned to the high court of justice, resulting in a salary increase for all Israeli soldiers. Amir was awarded the President's Award of Excellence in reserve in 2021.

Amir Lorch has a strong education history with a focus on data science, artificial intelligence, and robotics. Amir obtained their Master's degree in Data Science from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, a prestigious program known for its excellence. This degree was earned from 2020 to 2022.

Prior to that, Amir completed their undergraduate studies at the same university, majoring in Industrial Engineering and Management with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence & Robotics. Amir graduated with distinction in the year 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Amir also pursued further knowledge in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP) with Deep Learning. Amir obtained a certification in this area from Stanford University in May 2022, demonstrating their commitment to expanding their expertise.
