Scott Lampard was appointed Head of Global Markets for HSBC Bank Canada in August 2016. In this role he is responsible for the Bank's Sales, Trading and Structuring activities across the Foreign Exchange, Commodities and Credit and Rates businesses. Additionally, he is responsible for overseeing the management of the Bank's local balance sheet. Previously, Scott was Head of Capital Financing for HSBC Bank Canada where he was responsible for Debt and Equity Capital Markets, Leveraged and Acquisition Finance and Project Finance.
Prior to joining HSBC in September 2015, Scott spent 5 years at Deutsche Bank where, most recently, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Bank Canada. Before joining Deutsche Bank, Scott worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan in Toronto, New York, Sydney, London and Hong Kong in various businesses including Fixed Income Trading, Debt Capital Markets, Investment Banking and Syndicate. During his career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Scott was based in Hong Kong where he was Head of Global Markets ā Asia Pacific and before that Head of EMEA & Asia Pacific Capital Markets based in London. Before Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Scott worked for 13 years at JP Morgan where he was ultimately responsible for the bankās Public Sector Trading, Origination and Syndicate businesses.
Scott is a member of the Board of Governors of Ridley College.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario University.
