Mr. Semkiw is responsible for the strategic vision of the company, including the positioning of KarbonKleen’s end-to-end technology and solutions, global market strategy and business development.
Prior to founding KarbonKleen, Mr. Semkiw has experienced a long track record of success. Mr. Semkiw's leadership was key to Carta Worldwide’s growth as it became a global FinTech leader. Before co-founding Carta, Brian co-founded Rand Engineering, Engineering.com and Rand Worldwide. He grew the latter from a local start-up to a global enterprise of over 1500 employees operating in over 50 countries. Rand Worldwide realized revenues of nearly $500 million after Brian steered the company to an initial public offering in 1993 and then to its privatization in 2007. For several years, Profit Magazine recognized Rand as one of Canada’s fastest growth companies and Brian was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year in 1996.
Mr. Semkiw’s formal education includes a BASc. from the University of Toronto, where he sat on the Dean of Engineering’s Advisory Board. Brian has also served on the board of Leitch Technologies, a division of Harris Communications and currently sits on the board of 3rdGP Ltd. and Corsario Ltd.
