Anja Fischenich is a river restoration and floodwater management advisor at Bezirksregierung Köln since January 2019, with a focus on environmental sustainability. Anja also serves as a game creator for Future We Want, developing "The Great Carbon Footprint Game," which aims to raise awareness about carbon emissions. Previous roles include scientific assistant at Planungsbüro Zumbroich, where Anja implemented the EU Water Framework Directive, and an internship at Wahnbachtalsperrenverband, focusing on drinking water treatment. Anja's educational background includes a Master of Science in Integrated Water Resources Management from Cologne University of Applied Sciences, a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from HSB Hochschule Bremen, and additional studies at London South Bank University. Anja's early experience also includes working as a swimming instructor.
