Shayan Khakmardan

Shayan Khakmardan is a dedicated researcher and process engineer currently serving as a Research Assistant at the Future Battery Industries Cooperative Research Centre, focusing on life cycle assessment (LCA) of battery minerals. With experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Melbourne and a part-time Process Engineer at Mincore, Shayan has contributed to world-class projects, engaging in technical report preparation and process design. Previous roles include Senior Process Engineer at Sormak Mine Company, where Shayan developed eco-friendly processes, and internships in various mining and metallurgy sectors. Shayan holds multiple advanced degrees, including a PhD in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from the University of Melbourne, complemented by extensive academic credentials in engineering and entrepreneurship.
