Catherine Liu is an Industrial Design Intern at fuseproject since May 2024, previously serving as a Teaching Assistant for Carnegie Mellon University's Products Studio III and First-Year Design Lab. Liu has held leadership roles as Co-Chair and Vice Chair of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) chapter at Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on community outreach and professional development for industrial design students. With experience as a UX and Industrial Design Intern at Genesis Medtech Group, Liu contributed to the design of medical consoles and touchscreen interfaces. Additional internships include product design at Teknikio, managing events for the CMU Design League, and assisting in research at the CMU HyperSense Lab. Liu is pursuing a Bachelor of Design in Industrial and Product Design at Carnegie Mellon University, expected to graduate in 2024.
