Shinaei Yu has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple industries. In 2006, they started their career as a Production Assistant at Legacy Entertainment, where they worked until June 2007. From August to December 2007, they served as a Legal Assistant at the Law Offices of Jeannie Joung. In February 2008, they joined New World Sun Productions as an Executive Assistant and stayed there until September 2008. Later in October 2008, they worked at C&B Trading, Inc. as an Executive Assistant/Designer until March 2009. From May 2009 to August 2019, Shinaei held the role of Manager of Product Development and Sales at Dream International USA. In May 2017, they became the Director of Operations at The Anti Brand and continued in that position. Finally, as of January 2022, they are currently employed as a Product Developer at Funko.

Shinaei Yu completed their high school education at Troy High School from 1998 to 2002. Shinaei then pursued a Bachelor's degree at UC Irvine from 2002 to 2006, with a focus on Film/Cinema/Video Studies.
