Svein Harald Øygard is an industrial consultant, contractor and investor. He has over 20 years of experience from McKinsey and led McKinsey Norway. He was a senior partner in the investment bank Sparebank 1 Markets, and is a co-founder of 4 companies in various parts of the energy sector in Brazil. Two of these are companies within renewable energy, which in collaboration with Norwegian companies are developing market opportunities in Latin America. Svein Harald worked for a total of ten years in the Ministry of Finance, the Storting's Finance Committee, etc. As State Secretary in the 1990s, he played a key role in getting Norway out of the then banking crisis. During the financial crisis, he was hired as interim central bank governor in Iceland. Svein Harald has a degree in social economics from UiO.
