Ellen Cholewa has a diverse work experience starting in 2012 as a Summer Data Assistant at Windward Roofing & Construction Inc. Ellen then worked as a Summer Intern at the City of Evanston in 2013. In 2014, they joined the City of Evanston again as a Zoning Specialist, where they completed zoning analyses, researched and drafted case memos, and communicated the City Code to various stakeholders. In 2015, Ellen joined Mobilitie as a Sr. Network Real Estate Specialist, where they specialized in network real estate. In 2020, they briefly worked as a Program Lead at ioXt Alliance. Currently, Ellen is working at Fullerton where they started as a Project Manager in July 2021 and was promoted to Director of Construction in May 2023.

Ellen Cholewa completed their high school education at Loyola Academy from 2006 to 2010. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they completed from 2010 to 2013.
