Board Member at Fulcrum Bioenergy

Jim serves as a member of Fulcrum's board of directors and as an Executive Advisor to the company. He founded Fulcrum with USRG and was the President and Chief Executive Officer until April 2021. He has guided Fulcrum's strategy and execution from an idea into becoming one of the most successful new biofuels companies in the nation. His 30 plus years of energy industry operations experience includes steering a 20,000 megawatt-nationwide power plant development and construction program as Executive Vice President at Calpine Corporation. While at PG&E, one of the largest investor-owned public utility companies in the nation and the major utility serving Northern California, Jim oversaw operations for a 10,000-megawatt power generation fleet, a $4 billion electric and gas transmission system, and gas and electric procurement for more than four million customers. He received his B.S. in mechanical engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and graduated from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Program for Management Development.
