Shalmica Jackson has a diverse range of work experience in the field of marketing and biopharmaceuticals. Starting in 2004, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where they focused on the development of xenograft and organotypic models of human cancer and aging.
In 2006, Shalmica joined SAFC Biosciences/Sigma-Aldrich as a Senior R&D Scientist. In this role, they led projects related to the development of customized media and feeds for the large-scale production of biologics using mammalian cells. Shalmica also had customer-facing responsibilities and was involved in strategic program ideation.

From 2015 to 2016, Shalmica worked at MilliporeSigma as a Product Manager Associate, focusing on specialty biochemicals and the metabolomics initiative. Shalmica later became a Product Marketing Manager, overseeing lipid, fatty acid, protein, and amino acid product lines.
In 2016, Shalmica transitioned to the role of Senior Global Product Marketing Manager at MilliporeSigma, where they managed a portfolio of clinical hematology, pathology, microbiology, and cytology diagnostics. Shalmica also developed global marketing strategies for IVDs and established relationships with customers and thought leaders in the diagnostics industry.
In 2020, Shalmica joined ATCC as a Global Marketing Lead in the Drug Discovery department. Shalmica was responsible for defining customer needs, developing value propositions, and executing strategic go-to-market campaigns.
In 2022, Shalmica started working at FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific as the Manager of Strategic Marketing. Shalmica'sresponsibilities include developing innovation roadmaps, identifying partnership opportunities, and building external relationships.
In addition to their corporate experience, Shalmica is also the owner of Talented 10th Agency, which provides sales and marketing support for small businesses. Services offered include consulting, sales training, marketing campaigns, and strategic planning.
Shalmica Jackson's education history is as follows: Shalmica attended Sumner Academy from 1990 to 1993. Following that, they studied at Talladega College from 1993 to 1995, majoring in Biology. Afterward, they attended Emporia State University from 1995 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree magna cum laude in Biological Sciences. Finally, they pursued a Ph.D. in Molecular and Integrative Physiology from the University of Kansas Medical Center from 1998 to 2004.
