Ashwin Vasan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within both government and private sectors. Currently serving as a Partner and Senior Advisor at FS Vector since February 2024, Ashwin previously held the position of Associate Director for Research, Monitoring, and Regulations at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) from April 2021 to December 2023, driving the agency's policy agenda. Ashwin also contributed as a member of the Biden-Harris Transition Team and served as Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Capital One, where strategic opportunities were developed in collaboration with company leadership. Earlier experience includes serving as Chief Information Officer at CFPB, where technology functions were overseen, and leading initiatives as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, focused on financial institutions and public sector clients.
