Henrique Serro has a diverse work experience in various roles in the technology industry. Henrique started their career as an Interactive Media Developer and Researcher at the SPECS Research group in 2010. Henrique then worked as a Multimedia Developer and Digital Media Researcher at PIC (Porto Interactive Center) from 2011 to 2013. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Frontend Web Developer at PT Inovação e Sistemas, where they mainly focused on UI and frontend development. In 2015, they joined Jumia Porto Tech Center as a Web Developer, contributing to the development of Jumia's e-commerce platform. Henrique then worked as a Web Developer at Good Thnx in 2017 and as a Software Developer at DPS in 2018. Since 2019, Henrique has been working at Frontify, where they initially served as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on brand consistency, efficiency, and design collaboration. Currently, in addition to their software engineering role, they are also a People and Tech Lead, responsible for supervising the personal and professional development of up to 6 fellow engineers.
Henrique Serro has a diverse education history. Henrique obtained their PhD in Digital Media from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, they were an Extraordinary Student at Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto in 2009. Henrique also completed a Post-Graduation in Graphic Design and Editorial Projects at Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto from 2008 to 2009. Henrique Serro's undergraduate studies were in Sound and Image (Multimedia) at Universidade Católica Portuguesa from 2005 to 2008. Additionally, they hold a CAP - Certificado de Aptidão Pedagógica, obtained from IEFP.
